經典賽台灣英雄「費仔」單場3K　登上大聯盟5打數全三振

WBC（World Baseball Classic，世界棒球經典賽）台灣混血英雄費爾柴德（Stuart Fairchild），今天先發擔任守護者中外野手，3打數沒安打，全數遭到三振，「費仔」寫下升上大聯盟以來，5打數全數三振的尷尬數據。

「費仔」守備位置從昨天的左外野，移防至中外野，擔任第7棒，今日首打席在2局下，滿壘登場，4球三振，3個好球全數揮空，同時選到一個壞球揮棒三振；第2打席在4局下登場、1壘有人下，費仔面對首球打成界外球，這是費仔升上大聯盟以來，首次將球擊出，形成一記界外球，之後耐心選球，滿球數後，內角偏低壞球揮棒再次三振；第3打席在5局下登場，場上形成滿壘、2出局，費仔改變策略積極揮棒但都揮空，之後耐心選球，又是2好三壞滿球數，費仔信心不足，放過外角曲球被判好球，儘管啟動ABS（Automated Ball Strike，自動好壞球系統）申訴，依舊無法逃脫三振命運。

費仔於第8局被換下，連同前一天2次三振，總計5打數全遭三振，其中3次打擊都有人在壘，2度滿壘，但費仔揮棒僅2次碰到球，1次在昨日，面對7球，僅1次擦棒被捕，今日面對投手16球，僅1次打成界外，揮棒完全狀況外，守護者錯失得分機會，終場4-9落敗。

I’m actually curious as to why a guy like Stuart Fairchild, who has struck out more than three times more often than he’s walked in his career, is even *allowed* to make an ABS challenge unless a pitch is absolutely egregious.

Shouldn’t the organization be telling him not to?

The Guardians have no one to blame for this one but themselves. They would have been able to challenge this had they simply told Stuart Fairchild "We don't trust you to challenge because you are a terrible baseball player."
